The Highgate District Agricultural Society is excited to support this year’s Chatham-Kent 4-H programs and clubs. This year marks our 170th Anniversary, and with that many years celebrating rural life, we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than to support our local 4-H clubs throughout the upcoming year.
We are pleased to offer up a host of ways to come together to participate in country life, including:
The use of the fairground facilities for your club meetings
The use of our 4-H building and facilities for annual achievement days and celebrations
Participation at our annual Highgate Fair – including demonstrations, exhibitor entries and competitions, Achievement Day events, and opportunities to volunteer
The chance to volunteer to support some of the activities and events that the Fair Board hosts throughout the year
For use of our facilities, please contact the Secretary / Treasurer at least 3 weeks before your meeting or event to make arrangements. If you are interested in having a category in the annual Highgate Fair, we will need details by mid-May in order to meet our timelines for publishing our annual Prize List.
Have an idea for something else? We’re keen to support the activities of your club and are happy to discuss any ideas you may have for the 2024 club season.
Given this is our 170th Anniversary, we are looking to host our best Fair ever! And, we know that the presence of our local 4-H clubs is a huge attraction for fair participants. From 4-H displays, to judged exhibitor entries, to animal displays and competitions – we hope you will consider participating at this year’s festivities.
